Dear Jo
Ann,
I am writing this letter to you just to request in participating the
Early Foundation Year reassessment for the 2016-2017 school year. This assessment would be for a student
named Margert Lau who has failed the first assessment due to unfortunate
circumstances. We are hoping that you would do the
reassessment anytime before September. This way she can move on to the next
grade with her classmates and friends.
To give a little more insight I will tell you the situation,
from what I believe may have caused the three and a half year old Margert Lau
to fail on her first assessment. She was very sick the day before the accident
so she went to see the doctor. The doctor then prescribed her some medicine to
help her feel better. There was one downfall though, this medicine was causing
her to have to drink more fluids. It is
hard for a child this young, to be able to know when they must use the restroom.
When she arrived to the room to take the
assessment test she had wet on her pants. When this happened she was sent to the restroom, to clean
up, which resulted in her missing a large majority of the test. She missed the test with embarrassment. Thus
causing her to fail…Now, she is ready to take new attempt that shows a brave move
of 3.5 years old kid. She has always brought home very good report cards and if
she had not had the accident we believe she would not have failed the
assessment in the first place.
We are hoping that you could grant us a one on one meeting
where we can talk about the situation that has risen. We would like to discuss
the possibility of a reassessment while we show you everything that we have to
prove that she can pass the reassessment when under the right circumstances.
These things include a report card. We will also explain to you in more detail
what we think may have caused the situation to end in the way it did. She has
been potty trained for about a year and has had limited, if any, recurring
accidents within this time.
We thank you for taking the time out of your very busy day
to read this letter. We are looking forward to working with you to get this
matter resolved.
Sincerely
Yours,
